Darcy Millon Joins Metro Health's Chest Pain Center

Metro Health Hospital announced today that Darcy Millon has joined its Chest Pain Center.

    WYOMING, MI, October 06, 2011 /Health and Fitness PR News/ -- Metro Health Hospital announced today that Darcy Millon has joined its Chest Pain Center.

Millon will serve in the new position of coordinator, where she will be responsible for managing care of patients from the pre-hospital setting through discharge. She will also be responsible for process improvements and ensuring that Metro Health meets the guidelines and standards set forth by The Society of Chest Pain Centers in order for the hospital to receive accreditation from the organization. She will also chair the Chest Pain Center Committee.

Millon worked most recently for Metro Health as a nurse coordinator in the Progressive Care Unit, where she was involved in planning, development and implementation of the 18-bed unit. In this role, she was responsible for patient flow through the department, staff development through feedback and coaching, and direct patient care. Millon has also worked as a registered nurse in Metro Health's Telemetry Unit. She has also served as chair of the Professional Nursing Council and the Unit Based Council while at Metro.

Prior to joining Metro, she worked as a registered nurse with the Chippewa County War Memorial Hospital in Sault Sainte Marie, Mich., in its Medical/Surgical Unit.

Millon earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Grand Valley State University and is currently enrolled at Ferris State University in the College of Allied Health, where she is pursuing a master of science degree in nursing.

She currently lives in Grand Rapids.
